Today is the 14th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, We have remitted 200,000 yen from September 11, 2024, to March 10, 2025, of the donations from our speedy household knife sharpening service as Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Donation through the Japanese Red Cross Society.
Receipts will be posted on the blog as soon as they are available for download at a later date.
This brings the cumulative total of donations to the disaster-stricken areas from our speedy household knife sharpening service to 6,533,993 yen.
We would like to ask for your continued cooperation.

“Kappabashi Dougu Festival” will be held again this year from October 8 to 14 at Kappabashi Dougu Street.
During this period, the first 1,000 customers to make a purchase of 5,000 yen or more will receive one of our original hand towels.
We also have a large selection of bargain household knives available, so please take this opportunity to visit our store.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our customers, but during this period, our sharpening service will be allowed 10 days,
and also temporarily suspend our speedy service for household knives.
We will also be temporarily closed on the 15th after the “Kappabashi Dougu Festival”.

We donated 230,000 yen by our speedy service for the sharpening cooking knives from January 16 to September 10, 2024, to affected areas of Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster through the Japanese Red Cross Society.

Finally the total of donations for the disaster affected areas by the speedy service of the sharpening cooking knives comes to 6,333,993 yen .
