We offer hand-done personalized engraving (free) and sharpening (paid) on purchased knives, all while you wait.

*In general, personalized engraving is limited to Japanese kanji or katakana.
For a small number of letters (initials, etc.) we may be able to accommodate your request using an alphabet stamp.

Q. What is the cost and time required for personalized engraving of a knife?

A. Personalized engraving is free.
It usually takes about three minutes per knife, though it may take longer during busy periods.

Q. If I pay a fee, can I have personalized engraving done on a knife that I purchased at another shop?

A. No. Personalized engraving is offered only for knives purchased at our shop as a gesture of appreciation.

Q. If I previously purchased a knife at your shop, can I have it engraved at a later date?

A. Yes, we will provide engraving at any time. However, please note that we will require a receipt from the time of purchase if the knife is not Kamata Hakensha brand.
